Elon Musk's outrageous response to Tesla owners' hunger strike

Elon Musk will be remembered for many things: With a net worth of more than $250 million, he is the richest person in the world. Additionally, he is the founder and CEO of SpaceX and the CEO of Tesla. Though he has put his stamp on history with this résumé, his ways won't be hard to forget either. With a burlesque and arrogant mood, the most conflictive traits of his personality have led him to be one of the most questioned and powerful contemporaries.

With his latest rudeness, the billionaire has dared to break the first rule of marketing: "the customer is always right", but not only has he not agreed with his customers, but he has directly humiliated them in public.

Norway is the main market for Tesla brand cars, of which Musk is CEO, with a 12% market share and more than 20,000 cars sold in 2021. In this context, a group of 29 Tesla owners came together to protest some of the serious failures that vehicles are giving: door locks, poor windshield operation, water leaks into the trunk, problems starting in extreme temperatures, etc.

To protest against these defects of one of the most expensive car brands in the world, the owners decided to organize a hunger strike: "we believe that if Elon Musk finds out about our problems, he will solve the situation", explained the protesters at the gates of a management conference in Oslo.

Nothing could be further from the truth, Elon Musk not only did not listen to their demands but openly mocked them on Twitter: "On the advice of a good friend, I have been fasting periodically and I feel healthier."

Although the response of the CEO of Tesla (at least in public) is not even a bit close to resolving the complaints of the owners of the famous electric vehicles, the owners decided to cancel the rally and the hunger strike after the day had passed since that they started it in what seemed to be a strategic move to capture the attention of the businessman.
