From heroin to evil stepmother: Disney releases the trailer for Disenchanted, the sequel to Enchanted

Within the framework of the D23 Expo event, this Friday Disney released the first trailer for "Disenchanted" ("Disenchanted"), the film sequel to the comedy "Enchanted" that 2007 starred Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey, Susan Sarandon, James Marsden, and Idina Menzel.

The video of just over two minutes shows Giselle and her life in the city when, while talking to the animals in the area, she reveals to them that she is moving to Monroeville.

However, something seems to bother the princess of the new home between the renovations and preparations for her new home. And so, inamidll the complications, Nancy and Edward show up in her garden, reminding Giselle of her old fantasy world.

Thus, the princess laments the fact that in her old enchanted kingdom the greatest challenge was to find the "happily ever after", while on Earth "it is very different".

Throughout this new episode of her life, the heroine finds herself the victim of stress and nostalgia. Between family arguments and struggling with a home that seems to need more and more repairs, Giselle finds her possible solution.

Specifically, he finds a magic wand that, according to Prince Edward, will serve to "change anything in this world that you don't like." Thus, the protagonist wishes to transform her world into the fantasy realm she once knew.

However, her desire to live in a fairy tale ends up playing against her because, without realizing it, she transforms into the evil stepmother.

The story of "Disenchanted" takes place 15 years after the end of "Enchanted", and will again feature Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey, James Marsden, and Idina Menzel.

On the other hand, the new cast will be made up of Maya Rudolph, Yvette Nicole Brown, and Jayma Mays. The direction, this time, will fall to Adam Shankman ("Hairspray"), with Barry Josephson, Amy Adams, and Barry Sonnenfeld as producers.

It is unknown if there will be a new trailer for "Disenchanted", but so far it is known that the film will have its premiere on November 24, through the Disney + streaming platform.
